The entire hair growth cycle is influenced by both genetic and environmental factors.

Various factors, such as age, hormonal changes, nutritional status, and overall health, can affect the quality and duration of each phase. It is important to note that head massager can have several potential benefits for the scalp and the hair. It may improve blood circulation, reduce stress, and create an healthy environment for hair growth. Additionally, using a head massager with specific features, like those promoting relaxation and improved blood flow, will highly contribute to a positive impact on the hair growth process.

TELOGEN

  • During this phase, the hair follicle is at rest.

  • The old hair is no longer attached to the hair follicle, and it remains in place until a new hair pushes it out.

  • This phase lasts for several weeks, and around 10-15% of hairs are in the telogen phase at any given time.

CATAGEN

  • This is the transitional phase that marks the end of the active growth of a hair strand.

  • The hair follicle shrinks and detaches from the blood supply.

  • The catagen phase is relatively short, lasting only a few weeks.

ANAGEN

  • This is the active phase of hair growth.

  • During the anagen phase, cells in the hair follicle divide rapidly, and new hair is formed.

  • The length of the anagen phase varies among individuals, influencing the maximum hair length.
